My Background
I'm a licensed psychologist and I've been practicing psychotherapy for 8 years. I received my doctoral degree from California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). My education there was invaluable to me, as I was introduced to holistic ways of healing and understanding human experience. While obtaining my degree, I undertook rigorous training positions at a variety of public and nonprofit community mental health settings, including Mission Mental Health and Access Institute for Psychological Services. After completing my degree I began working in private practice first under the supervision of Michal Levin, Psy.D. before obtaining my license to practice independently. I also worked for two years at RAMS, Inc., where I provided psychological assessments and brief therapy to impoverished populations in San Francisco.
To do this work, I see it as necessary to always keep learning. For that reason I participate in continuing education through the Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California (PINC) and the Northern California Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology (NCSPP). I also regularly engage with peers and senior colleagues for consultation.
